Commander Hammered-Head

AKT breezed through pool play and then beat tough team from Huntington Beach dressed as American Gladiators to make it to the semi-finals.  A few critical mistakes and suddenly we were out of the tournament.  The rules were new to us and the wind was crazy but no excuses.  Definitely an earlier exit than expected (I expected to win it all) but a great warm up for the World Championships in Vegas next Month.  After the tournament Max and I hit the Coronado beach for some fun in the sand :-)

Go Max!  We also saw a pug attempting to surf…

Cornelius

I was psyched to hear K9 won.  It’s not very often people from a reality show display actual talent outside the show.  I was able top meet him a few years back and he was very humble and really seemed like a great guy.  I love it when athletes haven’t let their talent and celebrity completely overtake them…  He’s also being trained by Hall of Famer Emanuel Steward which I’m sure helped.

I wish had a pool setup like this… awesome :-)

Spanky Brewsters
Go Spanky! Tonight the battle for the Golden Cheeseburger begins and it’s anyone’s game. We play the Random Cupcakes in the first round.

C.R.I. Out Inc. has a 24 hour hotline to help individuals and families with rehab placement and referrals.  If you know someone who might need help or just need some advice on treatment options give them a call.  It was rewarding to work with a project that can hopefully change lives.  I created the site for a friend to mainly help them develop their program and encourage their altruistic efforts.

Pug Shark!

The Pug Shark is ready for fresh meat, it’s Monday and time to feed for AKT…  Next victim, Paulie’s Tijuana Donkey Show.

WDPRO Recruitment Site

Check it out! http://wdpro.jobs/

Full flash minisite used for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts careers; including the many teams including Advanced Projects, Web Dev, Tech, Flash, Visual Design, IA and Copy.  We designed the site using the Pure MVC Framework and links into the Disney Careers Automated Tracking System to retrieve job postings for WDPRO.  We developed a flash front end with lightweight framework that could easily be updated with XML data.  I designed and developed all the detail pages of the site.

It’s great for it to finally launch with FITC San Francisco right around the corner.

Back to my hometown for the FITC conference :-)

Concept was a Great White swallowing the WAKA logo.  It was pretty quick and dirty but everyone is happy with the look and we’re killing it in the Studio Div.

Max the Pug Shark at the season opener

The WAKA Studio Summer season begin last night with AKT winning 13-1.  I never thought I would be the guy who has a mascot costume for his dog, guess somewhere things changed… The Studio division is the most competitive kickball division in SoCal and my favorite for the awesome people.  They always have the best parties and the bar scene is great. It was a great night except for one the Monster Cartel’s dogs attacking Max at the park.  Of course, Max was ready for war (despite being a quarter the other dog’s size).  Thankfully there were no injuries to Max or anyone on the team.  Next week we play my previous team, the Monster Cartel.  They’ve actually been practicing… yeah
