I’ll be at the Disney booth tomorrow, Tuesday August 12, from 9 am - 12 noon at the LA Convention Center. If you aren’t familiar with the event, here’s a brief description:

Digital innovators, creative researchers, award-winning producers, provocative artists, energetic executives, and adventurous engineers. The worldwide SIGGRAPH community gathers in Los Angeles to explore the products, systems, techniques, ideas, and inspiration that are creating the next three generations of computer graphics and interactive techniques.

Also, I’m really psyched to be in SF next week for FlashForward.

I’ll have to man the Disney booth for a bit but there are some sessions I’m really looking forward to. Some of the people in my industry I really respect and admire like Erik Natzke to Grant Skinner will be speaking. It will also be great to be back in my hometown of SF and hopefully catch up with people I haven’t seen in a while.

LA Studio Kickball 2008 Opening Ceremony from Charlie White on Vimeo.

Well I’ve joined yet another Adult League Kickball team. Should be a lot of fun. Last night I saw teams dressed as ninjas, convicts, valley girls and some had pretty professional looking team banners (and that was only the teams for the early round of games)… Also the after-party seems like a good time. If you look close you’ll see the yellow team has these HUGE trophies that really cracked me up.  Apparently they are the team to beat and haven’t lost in 2 years. We started off great with a 9 -1 victory and should be a fun season with the ‘Mean Boys.’

It’s from JibJab - You can see yours truly near the end of the video. It’s a fun way to personalize it.

This is great! Jeff (waiting to get his iPhone) actually works in my office and totally calls out this reporter live on TV when he tries to mock him. My favorite part is when he asks Spillman from KTLA “Is this journalism to you?”  This really cracked me up when he silences the newsroom and reporter.

I found this video on the LA Metblog here

Max on Coronado Dog Beach

Had a great weekend in San Diego. Max loves the beach! To check out a video of us out on the boat we rented click here

Max and Alison in San Diego

Love in the Club from Charlie White on Vimeo. Just thought I’d share, found it amusing …

This weekend should be a lot of fun, headed down to San Diego with Josh and Alison for the 4th and staying in the gas lamp district. One of favorite things down there are the rooftop bars/clubs. We’re going to the Ivy. You can look out over the city while hanging out with your friends. Also they have this awesome dog beach that I’m sure Max and Lula will really like. If you’re around let me know!

Lula, Max's little princess

That’s Talula Mae, Max’s girl (dressed for the wedding). They chase each other around for hours until they fall asleep next each other.

Game time

Well, Josh my twin brother went out with a bang last weekend and married Alison. The wedding was amazing from the picturesque sunset scene at Vianse winery to their first dance and as a married couple:

Nice moves! The band was awesome, that goofball laughing in the background is yours truly.

It was a great weekend and I’m very happy to have new sister. Everyone was there from our college soccer team to the Google girls. Even Max and Lula made the trek :)

Today Eric showed me this amazing site: ecodazoo.com it’s one of the smoothest running 3d flash sites I’ve seen. Amazing work from Masayuki Kido in Japan… Definitely check it out if you have a minute.
